Morning of March 27th for the management and employees of GroGlass® was a bit different than usual. The Swedish flag waved in the air and every one was proud and honoured to welcome the guest delegation from Sweden and His Majesty the King Carl XVI Gustaf. The delegation also included the Latvian Minister of Economy, the Swedish Ambassador in Latvia and the Latvian Ambassador to Sweden. The visit started with an informative presentation to introduce the King, guests and the media to the company, the most recent achievements and our experience in the Swedish market where more than 50,000 artworks are estimated to have been framed with Artglass™ over the last 3 years. His Majesty and the delegation were positively surprised seeing the “invisible” glass and learning about the technology behind the magic. The King and Sasha Kelberg, the company’s Founder and CEO exchanged opinions and discussed the modern and innovative technology used in the manufacturing process while taking a tour around the factory. The Swedish delegation and His Majesty was introduced to the production process, starting from the point where regular glass is washed and placed in the unique magnetron sputtering line, ending with the final product packed and prepared for the shipment. “We were very honoured to receive his Majesty in our factory and show why we were selected to be the face of the Latvian manufacturing. Everything His Majesty saw during the visit, the technology, the innovation and the results are truly Made in Latvia”, proudly admitted Alexander Sasha Kelberg.
